About this policy
Big Digital (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Adspire Group Pty Ltd. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit big.com.au, contact us or work with us.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
The information we collect
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and role, when you fill in our contact form, email us, call us or book a strategy session.
- Details about your enquiry and any information you choose to share about your business.
- Client information, if you become a client: billing details and the information we need to deliver our services, including access to accounts such as Google Ads, Meta, Google Analytics, your website or your CRM.
- Website information: like most websites, our hosting server records technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
We don’t ask for sensitive information (such as health information or religious or political beliefs), and we ask that you don’t send it to us.
How we collect it
Most of the information we hold comes directly from you, through our website, by email, over the phone or in meetings. We also collect information from your business when we work together, automatically when you use our website, and occasionally from public sources such as your website or business listings when we prepare for a strategy session.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and run your strategy session.
- To provide, manage and report on the services you engage us for.
- To send invoices and manage our relationship with you.
- To send occasional updates or marketing about our services. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep our website secure and working properly.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Information we handle for our clients
When we manage marketing for a client, we may have access to personal information about that client’s customers, for example in an email platform, CRM or advertising audience. We only use that information to deliver services to our client and in line with their instructions. Our client is responsible for making sure they are allowed to share it with us.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell personal information. We only share it when we need to, with:
- service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, cloud storage, accounting, CRM and project management tools
- advertising and marketing platforms (such as Google, Meta, TikTok and Klaviyo) when we run campaigns on your behalf
- professional advisers, such as our accountants and lawyers
- government bodies or others when we are required or authorised by law.
Storing information overseas
Some of the service providers we use store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. When we use them, we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and third-party services
Our website only uses the cookies it needs to work. Our Contact page includes an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
We don’t currently use analytics tracking or advertising pixels on this website. If we add tools such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel in future, we’ll update this policy. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Marketing emails
If we send you marketing emails, every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time. We follow the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including limiting access to the people who need it and using secure, reputable software. We keep information only for as long as we need it, including to meet our record-keeping obligations, and then delete it or de-identify it.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If we can’t give you access, we’ll explain why.
Data breaches
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will let the people affected know and notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where the law requires us to.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the OAIC at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
